If you’re looking for authentic Japanese soba and udon, this is one of the closest experiences you’ll find outside of Japan. I’ve been coming here for many years. Back in the day, it was cash only, but they now accept credit cards, which makes things much more convenient. The ordering system is simple and casual. You place your order yourself, the food is brought to your table, and when you’re finished, you return your tray to the counter. It’s efficient and feels very similar to the kind of casual noodle shops you would find in Japan. The soba here is excellent, with a firm texture and great flavor. The udon is also consistently good. This is the kind of place I visit whenever I’m craving authentic Japanese noodles. Parking can be a little tricky. The restaurant’s lot is often full, but I’ve usually been able to find free street parking nearby without too much trouble. Prices are higher than they used to be, and I wouldn’t call it the bargain it once was. However, given today’s costs and the quality of the food, I think the pricing is fair. a hidden gem. makes you feel like you’re back in Japan. food is such good quality and workers are informative and willing to help. it’s a better deal if you pay in cash, but they accept both cash or card/tap to pay.

First time here. Just get a simple menu, I had natto tororo because I love grated yam, natto, and poached egg, but I think their tempura was old It had a horrible smell. I'm not talking about the shrimp and veggie tempura. It's the topping tempura. And I know chefs usually make those toppings ahead of time, but I think it was old or the oil was horrible. I triec finishing everything since it was $20, but wow, that old oil taste made me almost throw up. It's still lingering in my mouth.... I didn't get a refund, but don't ever get that...

Who recommended this place for soba and met a friend for lunch here, it was absolutely incredible. Polite service, fantastic food, nice ambience, and good price. What more could you ask for?

Ordered cold yamakake soba with tendon combo. Food came out pretty quickly. Soba koshi was alright but the flavor was really lacking. Wish I had more tsuyu. Surprisingly their tempura bowl was very good. If I ordered the tendon alone I would have rated this place much better. Considering most other customers are Japanese, I was expecting more from this place.
